Are there any rules of betting where a person can bet on two teams at the same time and ensure a win by hook or crook? Is it legitimate?

Technically yes! The term is called arbitrage betting. The method ensures a win by all wins and a profit to take home. The trick is to bet on different teams on different betting platforms and this ensures you win at least one event for sure.

Yes. With middling, it is possible to bet on two teams at a time, but on a different betting platform.

No. It is not possible to bet on two teams at a time. Even if we assume the fact that placing two bets, the result of losing money on the outcome is imminent. Therefore, I don’t consider the proposition worthwhile.
