These players gain unrestricted access to the National Cricket Academy (NCA), allowing them to train, undergo rehabilitation, and utilize facilities at no cost. Unlike non-contracted players, they don't need state association recommendations and have expenses covered by NCA. The aim is to bolster the national team's fast bowling bench strength amid increasing cricket volume and injury concerns. Financial benefits undisclosed, but speculated to be comparable to C Grade players' retainership of Rs 1 crore.
