Bayern's three consecutive defeats! The eight-point gap to league leaders Leverkusen in the Bundesliga may mark Bayern's first trophyless season since 2012. Coach Tuchel seems to bear the brunt of responsibility, either resigning or waiting for the club to sack him. However, according to Bild, the club's management is reluctant to dismiss him. Why?
In fact, Tuchel has been under pressure for weeks. In a crucial clash with Leverkusen, a win could have narrowed the gap, but they lost, falling five points behind. Defeated by Lazio in the Champions League, followed by a 3-2 loss to Bochum in the league, Bayern now trail Leverkusen by eight points with only 12 league games remaining, essentially ending their hopes of defending the Bundesliga title this season.
With Bayern already out of the domestic cup competitions and trailing in the Champions League, this season seems destined to be trophyless. Despite calls from fans and the media for Tuchel to be sacked, the club's management believes there is no suitable replacement at present. They hope Tuchel can see out the season.
It's worth mentioning that English striker Harry Kane, who left Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of trophies, may also face a trophyless season. Fans jest about Kane's curse, suggesting even Bayern, dominant in the league for over a decade, cannot escape it. Will we ever witness Kane break his trophy drought? |
