Aakash Chopra has backed KS Bharat to continue as India’s wicketkeeper in the third Test against England in Rajkot. Aakash Chopra believes KS Bharat should be given a fair chance in all five Tests in this series as he is a good keeper. He also thinks that if the team management is looking for more runs from the keeper, then Bharat should still get another opportunity. Aakash Chopra said in his YouTube video that it would be unfair to drop KS Bharat for Dhruv Jurel at this stage. He said that KS Bharat did his main job of keeping well, which is not easy on these pitches. KS Bharat made 41 and 28 in the first Test in Hyderabad, which was not bad for a keeper. Aakash Chopra feels it would be harsh on him if he is axed for the third Test. Aakash Chopra also said that India can afford to play KS Bharat as a specialist keeper because they have spin-bowling all-rounders like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel. I think Akash Chopra is right. KS Bharat is a solid keeper and he deserves more chances. He has been keeping well on turning tracks and he has also contributed with the bat. Dhruv Jurel is untested and it would be unfair to throw him in the middle of the series.

Aakash Chopra is biased towards KS Bharat. He dropped two catches and missed a stumping in the second Test. He also wasted a review. Dhruv Jurel is a much better option.

KS Bharat is a decent keeper, but he is not a match-winner. He needs to score more runs if he wants to cement his spot in the team. Dhruv Jurel is a more aggressive batsman and can change the game in a session. He should be given a chance in the third Test.
