Aakash Chopra advises Jasprit Bumrah to rest in IPL instead of IND vs ENG ?

Aakash Chopra, the former Indian opener, said on his YouTube channel that Jasprit Bumrah should play the third Test match from February 15. He called Bumrah a national treasure and said he should be protected. He also said that it is hard to take a break as a cricketer but Bumrah can rest in the IPL if he wants. There was speculation before the third IND vs ENG Test match that Jasprit Bumrah might be rested for the Rajkot Test. But Bumrah has been named as the vice-captain of the team for the last three Tests against England. Bumrah has been prone to injuries and has missed many crucial matches and tournaments because of them. Jasprit Bumrah returned to international cricket after almost a year in August last year. People thought that Bumrah would not bowl with the same accuracy and speed, but he proved them all wrong as he became more dangerous than ever.

I think Akash Chopra is absolutely right, national duty comes first if any player wants to take a rest, can take it during the IPL season

Bumrah has taken 15 wickets in the first two Test matches against England in the ongoing test series so it will not be a wise decision to opt him out from the third Test match
