A 130-year-old German bank collaborates with a Bitcoin

According to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine, today, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte eG, a bank with a history of about 130 years, has established a long-term partnership with terahash.energy GmbH. The cooperative bank based in Ingolstadt and the young startup company Terahash will collaborate to promote Bitcoin-related topics and develop new products.

Andreas Streb, Deputy Chairman of the Board of VR Bank Bayern Mitte eG, stated, "As part of our Bitcoin strategy, we are leveraging Terahash's extensive expertise in Bitcoin and mining to expand our offerings. Together, we can provide education and develop solutions for our customers."

Since April 2022, VR Bank Bayern Mitte eG has been a pioneer among banks in the German region, offering services exclusively related to Bitcoin to its customers. The bank has made Bitcoin a focal point, signaling its commitment to providing more Bitcoin-related services.

Kristian Klager, CEO of Terahash.energy GmbH, said, "Terahash and VR Bank Bayern Mitte complement each other perfectly. The strategic partnership is an important step for us, allowing us to leverage synergies to better combine our strengths." Terahash.energy GmbH was founded just one year ago and is a subsidiary of a family business with a 70-year history in the Augsburg region, operating the Terahash.space platform. The platform aims to serve as a comprehensive digital space, facilitating connections within and outside the Bitcoin market environment. Terahash's main focus is on consulting and planning in Bitcoin, energy, and data centers, emphasizing the use of renewable energy and innovative technologies.

According to the press release, the strategic partnership aims to combine the reliability and innovation of VR Bank with Terahash's expertise, promoting joint efforts in service and educational development over the next few years. The collaboration also extends to the second Bitcoin Forum scheduled for April 12, 2024, in Ingolstadt, which will feature a Bitcoin Business and Energy Zone aimed at B2B enthusiasts and companies.
