Owais Shah, who played for England and is a commentator for the series, talked about the issues that India has to solve before the third Test. He said that India’s middle-order has not been scoring big runs in the two Tests. He said that India might get better if Virat Kohli and KL Rahul come back. Owais Shah He also said that India’s second seamer is a weak link in the bowling attack. In the first Test, Mohammed Siraj bowled with Jasprit Bumrah and in the second Test, Mukesh Kumar replaced him. Both of them were ineffective and Bumrah had to do all the work by himself. He took nine wickets and won the Man of the Match award in the second Test.
Apart from the middle-order and the second seamer, Rohit Sharma’s form is also a concern for India. He is the captain of the team and he was expected to lead from the front with the bat. But he has not been able to score big runs and has thrown away his wickets after getting set. He needs to step up his game and show some responsibility.
