News on January 28th: Today, the Lakers narrowly defeated the Warriors 145-144 in double overtime, securing a two-game winning streak. After the game, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham was interviewed.
Talking about his feelings coaching on the sidelines, Ham said, "I just try to stay positive and approach it with the mindset of playing well in the next possession. I said before the game, you can play perfect defense, but as long as you leave an inch of space, they will make you pay. But as a basketball fan, my first duty is to control myself. The folks at the New York headquarters should be very happy. This was an incredible high-level basketball game, with two legends putting on a spectacular duel, a clash between two outstanding ball clubs."
"It's fun to be a part of it; this is one of those victories that showcase our character. Our team is very united, their competitive performance, sharing, attention to detail, LeBron (James) grabbed 19 defensive rebounds, scored 36 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists. Vanderbilt was glued to defending Stephen (Curry) and Klay (Thompson) all night, and everyone gave their all. It was a courageous victory, and everyone was involved. AD (Anthony Davis) came back after his injury. We needed this kind of win; it greatly boosts our morale." |
