Kenneth Cheung, Executive Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs at OSL, a licensed virtual asset trading platform in Hong Kong, mentioned that they are currently in close communication with many fund companies. The market is researching with 5 to 10 fund companies, and progress with fewer than 5 can be relatively fast. There are expectations to launch the first spot virtual asset ETF by mid-year. Cheung admitted that there is pressure to ensure that fees are not excessively high since there are only two licensed virtual asset platforms in the market.
