A Bitcoin-based stablecoin may achieve comparable speed and cost to other stablecoins within the year.
In 2024, there is a possibility of the emergence of a Bitcoin-based stablecoin, potentially competitive in terms of speed and cost compared to other stablecoins in the industry. Additionally, it is expected to inherit the fundamental stability of Bitcoin's infrastructure. CoinShares, in its latest outlook report released on January 22, explains: "We anticipate 2024 to be a pivotal year for Bitcoin in the stablecoin space." Christopher Bendiksen, Head of Bitcoin Research at CoinShares, and analyst Matthew Kimmel predict that a Bitcoin project focused on competing in the modern stablecoin sector will become more accessible this year. At least theoretically, feasible development projects are expected to eventually become usable tools. |
