Harin Fernando, the minister of sports, tweeted about the suspension being lifted. On November 10, the ICC suspended SLC due to interference from the government. The SLC Board should be fired, according to a resolution that the Sri Lankan Parliament passed unanimously. Both the opposition and the ruling parties in the parliament backed the resolution. The parliament's decision was made two days after the Court of Appeal reinstated Shammi Silva, the SLC's manager, following Silva's dismissal by Roshan Ranasinghe, the minister of sports.
