The U.S. Senate Banking Committee will discuss legislation regarding cryptocurrency money laundering.
Sherrod Brown, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, has stated that legislation regarding cryptocurrency money laundering will continue to be discussed in the coming weeks. Currently, he is collaborating with members and individuals outside the committee. In addition, Eleanor Mueller, a reporter for Politico, mentioned on social media that, to the best of her knowledge, Republicans from the U.S. Senate Banking Committee and the Agriculture Committee are quietly introducing new text for their cryptocurrency bills to selected staff. The new text includes additional wording around whistleblower protection, insider trading, and securities definitions. |
