Mourinho has been sacked again! Why do I say "again"? After coaching AS Roma for three years, he still couldn't escape the curse of the three-year tenure, where the teams he coaches never last beyond three years. So, is the three-year curse due to Mourinho's own issues, or are there larger external problems?

Undoubtedly, Mourinho is a successful coach. Although his coaching career may not rival current masters like Guardiola and Ancelotti, his illustrious coaching record surpasses that of most coaches. However, regardless of the success of the teams he coaches and the number of championships won, an odd phenomenon consistently occurs in his third coaching year. The team experiences fragmentation, a lack of unity in the locker room, conflicts between the coach and players arise, and ultimately, the team's performance declines, leading to Mourinho being sacked.

However, this time at AS Roma, Mourinho was not dismissed due to locker room discord. The main reason was Roma's poor performance, ranking ninth with 29 points after 21 league games, which, given the significant investment, was unacceptable to the club's owners. Another crucial reason is that the Roma owner had considered sacking Mourinho after losing the UEFA Europa League final last year. However, at that time, Mourinho had strong support from both players and fans, preventing the owner from taking any action.

The owner's dissatisfaction with Mourinho stems from the coach's inability to control his words and actions. Last season, after Roma lost the Europa League final due to unfair refereeing, the owner wasn't upset about the result but rather angered by Mourinho's post-match incident where he loudly berated the referee in the parking lot, resulting in a four-match ban. The owner believed that such behavior damaged Roma's image and chose to tolerate it until today, when he finally decided to sack Mourinho.

Despite Mourinho's improved behavior in recent years, he remains the same in crucial moments. His outspoken nature and exaggerated style, although toned down, continue to attract attention. This, coupled with his tendency to be the center of controversy, is the primary reason why he cannot stay at any club for more than three years.

People also have their own "curses," whether in relationships or careers. Hopefully, Mourinho can rein in and break free from this three-year curse in his new venture.

Mourinho's words and actions are all excuses. The key issue is Mourinho's coaching style, which requires spending money. However, Roma is financially strained, and this contradiction has persisted since he started coaching. If they don't fire Mourinho, he will continue to cause trouble, and the management can't tolerate this pressure.

The poor performance is one aspect; in fact, Mourinho's results in recent years haven't been too bad. However, his inability to control his own words may indeed have caused frustration for the management. Therefore, taking advantage of the unsatisfactory results, they decided to dismiss him to avoid further complications. Besides, Mourinho hasn't really brought anything new to the table; his coaching style is well-known to everyone. Perhaps with a different coach, Roma might be able to go further. Hopefully, Mourinho can find a team that suits him well.

The boss of Roma is quite interesting as well. Roma currently has a somewhat mediocre image, and the team is reluctant to spend money. In Serie A, they might struggle to secure a spot in European competitions. If it weren't for Mourinho, Roma would have even less presence. The Europa League final did have referee factors, and if Mourinho didn't criticize the referees, would he directly criticize Roma's boss for being unwilling to spend money on players? Currently, Roma is just a mid-table team in Serie A. They can't retain good players within the team, and top players from outside don't seem interested in joining Roma. In the summer, the few remaining star players in the team will likely choose to leave.

To be honest, leaving Roma doesn't matter much to Mourinho, except for some sentimental attachment. Roma has little hope of winning championships, and qualifying for the Champions League is basically out of reach compared to other teams. Even the salary Roma offers Mourinho won't be very high. European giants probably won't be interested in Mourinho because his tactics are not suitable for today's top clubs. However, with Mourinho's influence, coaching in a league like Saudi Arabia could earn him a hefty salary. Mourinho is now 60 years old, and coaching a national team would also be a good choice. National team tournaments are suitable for Mourinho's park-the-bus tactics. Perhaps, after the European Championship, we might see Mourinho sitting in the head coach's seat of a national team.

One can only say that the fate has come to an end; there's no banquet that never disperses. He can only look forward from here.

On the field, it's like this – results matter more than reputation. No matter how big your name, if you can't deliver results now, you'll still be eliminated. Hopefully, Mourinho can find a new role for himself.
