Physical Dogecoin and Bitcoin are set to embark on a journey to the moon today at 15:18 Beijing time (07:18 UTC) through Astrobotic's Peregrine1 mission. Together, they aim to achieve a true "To the Moon" moment!

Astrobotic Technology is a US private company dedicated to developing robotic spacecraft technology. The Peregrine1 mission involves the inclusion of small personal memorabilia, ranging from photos and novels to student works, connecting life's most meaningful moments with the moon. Among them are the physical Dogecoin sponsored by the Dogecoin community, Bitcoin from BitMex, and the GENESIS PLATE from Bitcoin Magazine. Dogecoin and Bitcoin will join forces to truly go "To the Moon"!

Previously, Chain News reported that Dogecoin was set to ride a rocket to the moon, but it appears that the mission has been delayed again. On the same rocket, there are various scientific instruments, technologies, memorabilia, and other payloads from six different countries, dozens of scientific teams, and hundreds of individuals. Among these, related to the crypto community, are the physical Bitcoin from BitMex and the GENESIS PLATE from Bitcoin Magazine.

The live broadcast is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM today. As part of the NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program and the Artemis program, the United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Astrobotic plan to conduct the first commercial robot launch to the lunar surface on Monday, January 8, at 2:18 AM Eastern Time. ULA's Vulcan rocket and Astrobotic's Peregrine lunar lander will carry NASA's scientific findings, lifting off from Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The Peregrine lander is expected to touch down on the moon on February 23.

I think it's still unlikely to go to the moon.

As long as it becomes a reality, it's all good.
