Season lost! Morant to undergo shoulder surgery, just returned and played 9 games.
On January 9th, the Grizzlies officially announced that their star player, Ja Morant, will undergo shoulder surgery and be sidelined for the rest of the season.
During training, Morant suffered a dislocated right shoulder, and upon examination, it was found that the shoulder joint was torn, necessitating surgery. Following the surgery, Morant decided to sit out the remainder of the season and is expected to fully recover before the start of the next season.
Due to a gun-related incident, Morant was suspended for 25 games during the offseason. He just returned and played 9 games, averaging 25.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game.
Currently, the Grizzlies stand at 13 wins and 23 losses, ranking 13th in the Western Conference. |
