January 3 News: LCK officially announces the lineup for the preseason matches, as follows:
I. The starting players of the top three in each position are voted by the starting players of the 10 LCK teams, and the one with the highest score becomes the captain.
Captains are as follows:
Top Lane Team — Zeus;
Jungle Team — Oner;
Mid Lane Team — Faker;
AD Team — Deft;
Support Team — Keria.
II. Selection Method: Obtain the power to determine the selection order through pre-match mini-games.
Faker won first place in the pre-match game and the selection order is: Mid Lane, Jungle, Support, Top Lane, AD.
III. Selection Rules:
— Selection in an S-shaped manner;
— Rounds one and two: (Selecting players in a snake-like manner starting from the Mid Lane Team, players from the same team cannot be selected)
Each of the 10 LCK teams must select a player. For example, if the first team in the first round selects a player from Team A, then Team A's players cannot be chosen in the first two rounds.
(Note: Faker chose Chovy in the first round)
— Rounds three and four: (Selecting players in a snake-like manner starting from the AD Team, players from the same team cannot be selected)
Since all five T1 members are selected, except for T1, one player must be selected from the remaining 9 teams. The last team to choose in the fourth round can choose any player without restrictions on the team.
