Alternatively put, the future of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, two of the biggest names in Indian cricket right now. It has been more than a year since Rohit and Kohli last participated in T20Is. They played England in the 2022 World Cup semifinal, which was their final appearance in the shortest format. The two cornerstones of India's batting, though, are said to have informed the selectors of their desire for one last chance to win an ICC trophy.
