eToro is terminating its cryptocurrency custody services in Germany, and the custodied assets will be transferred to Tangany GmbH on January 21st.
Golden Finance reports that social investment platform eToro will cease its cryptocurrency custody services in Germany. Starting from January 21, eToro's asset custody will be transferred to Tangany GmbH, a crypto custody service provider regulated by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Customers can still sell or transfer their crypto assets to other custodians through the eToro platform.
The transfer of eToro's custodied assets to Tangany GmbH is scheduled to begin on January 21, 2024, and is expected to be completed by January 29, 2024. During this period, customers will not have access to their crypto assets. Due to technical reasons, certain cryptocurrencies (specifically NEO, FIL, THETA, and LUNA) do not support the transfer, and users are required to sell or close their positions before January 20. |
