Ethereum co-founder Vitalik, in a post on Warpcast, expressed, "I'm glad to see that there is already one Rollup entering the first stage this year (and several projects are very close to the first stage). This is a true decentralization progress, and I hope to see ten Rollups entering the first stage next year and achieving a certain level of sequencer decentralization." From the screenshot shared by Vitalik, it is evident that the Rollup he referred to entering the first stage is Arbitrum. According to Vitalik's preliminary proposal on the Ethereum Magicians forum, and subsequently summarized and organized by L2beat, the definition of the developmental stages for Rollups indicates that, compared to the zero stage, Rollups in the first stage must satisfy five conditions: 1. Deployment of a complete and fully functional proof system; 2. At least 5 external participants can submit fraud proofs; 3. Users can exit without requiring assistance from the operator; 4. If a more centralized participant, like a Security Council, implements unnecessary upgrades, users have at least 7 days to exit; 5. Proper establishment of the Security Council. |
