On December 24th, Coinbase denied allegations made by Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren that it had hired former officials from the U.S. Treasury Department to obstruct progress in digital asset regulation. In a letter dated December 22nd, Coinbase's Chief Policy Officer, Faryar Shirzad, responded, "Your claim that Coinbase is trying to undermine bipartisan legislation related to cryptocurrency is completely false. Your accusations are not only baseless but a deliberate misrepresentation of our intentions and efforts." |
