The 2022-23 Premier League season concluded on May 29th in the early hours. Manchester City secured a comeback victory in the final moments, successfully clinching the Premier League championship and achieving a remarkable three-peat. Newcastle, under the ownership of a Middle Eastern consortium in their second season, put up a strong performance, finishing in the top four and returning to the UEFA Champions League after 21 years. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur, boasting the likes of Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, only managed an 8th-place finish in the league and missed out on Champions League qualification.

In terms of relegation, Everton miraculously escaped the drop zone, while Leeds United and Leicester City were unfortunate victims of relegation. Despite Leicester City's last-minute home win against West Ham, they couldn't alter their fate, while Leeds United faced relegation after a 1-4 defeat at home to Tottenham. Southampton also failed to avoid relegation, and these three teams will compete in the EFL Championship next season. Burnley, Sheffield United, and Luton Town secured promotion to the Premier League for the next season.

In the battle for European competition qualification, Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Brentford were among the three teams vying for seventh place. Due to Manchester City and Manchester United already securing Champions League qualification in the FA Cup final, the Europa League qualification from the FA Cup was deferred to the sixth-placed team in the Premier League, and the Europa Conference League qualification for the sixth-placed team was deferred to the seventh-placed team. In the end, Aston Villa edged out Tottenham by one point to claim the Europa Conference League spot.

In the Premier League's top scorer race this season, Erling Haaland secured the Golden Boot with an impressive 36 goals. Harry Kane finished second with 30 goals, while Ivan Toney ranked third with 20 goals. On the assists chart, Kevin De Bruyne claimed the Playmaker Award with 16 assists, while Mohamed Salah and Ismaila Sarr tied for second place with 12 assists each. Haaland received honors as the Premier League Player of the Season and the Young Player of the Season for his outstanding performance, while David De Gea earned the Premier League Golden Glove award.

Manchester City seems to have an otherworldly team, which can be seen as unfair, but it's a testament to their incredible strength.
