Ryuichi Okamoto also emphasized that the above speculations are just two logical assumptions because Satoshi Nakamoto's thoughts at that time are still unknown. He explained,

(1) Koblitz (elliptic) curves are designed for faster scalar multiplication. Therefore, Secp256k1 operates faster in signing, verification, and key generation than Secp256r1.
(2) While the Secp256r1 curve is randomly chosen, some may still suspect that there might be some backdoors secretly set in the curve parameters. In contrast, Koblitz (elliptic) curve parameters are determined mathematically, and the possibility of setting such backdoors is minimal.

However, Ryuichi Okamoto also expressed admiration for Satoshi Nakamoto's ability to combine various encryption technologies and create the world's first decentralized currency,

"I think this is a revolutionary invention, the first decentralized currency and its core technology, blockchain, are having a huge impact on our society."

The era is advancing; don't trust people based solely on their seniority or lack thereof.
