BlockFi has posted a reminder on social media for those eligible to withdraw crypto assets from their BlockFi wallet accounts. BlockFi states that if you haven't submitted a withdrawal request, please do so before the wallet withdrawal window closes at 11:59 PM on December 31, 2023 (world time) to receive your cryptocurrency funds as soon as possible. Note the key dates for processing wallet withdrawals: (1) The wallet withdrawal window will close at 11:59 PM UTC on December 31, 2023. (2) Requests for identity verification information must be received by 11:59 PM UTC on January 12, 2024. Once the wallet withdrawal identity verification window closes at 11:59 PM UTC on January 12, 2024, all remaining wallet balances will be converted to cash and distributed to customers in USD. Failure to apply for a withdrawal before the end of the withdrawal window will render this operation irreversible and cannot be undone or canceled. Please be aware that any final wallet allocations that remain unresolved at the expiration of the deadline stipulated in Section VI.C(6) of the Third Amended Joint Plan will be treated as restricted property under Section 347(b) of the United States Bankruptcy Code. All such unclaimed property shall be irrevocably returned to BlockFi.
