Charles Hoskinson: Supporting leaders but talking about decentralization? The current blockchain faces a governance crisis.
Hoskinson doesn't forget to comment on his former partner Vitalik Buterin, stating that Vitalik's current approach is like that of a ""lone warrior."" Hoskinson explains, ""They are both excellent founders, whether it's Dan (referring to the co-founder of EOS) or Vitalik, leading a group of engineers and innovating in some way to solve significant problems. But the reality is, things shouldn't be handled this way.""
Hoskinson concludes by urging that collaborative efforts are the key to success, reflecting another major obstacle in the blockchain industry: cross-chain interoperability, achieving seamless integration between various blockchains.
In fact, to foster the thriving development of this innovative technology, Hoskinson believes that blockchain, like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi in the past, requires open standards for device manufacturers to synchronize. Therefore, consensus must be reached among blockchain technicians on foundational protocols.
He believes, ""Unless comprehensive standards are established for cross-chain communication, the impact of blockchain can never catch up with the pace of consumer electronics.""
Last month, during a blockchain event, Blocklike interviewed Charles Hoskinson. He mentioned that following the upgrade to Cardano version 1.5, the old consensus mechanism would be removed, and OuroborosBFT Genesis would be officially launched, bringing significant improvements and assistance to smart contracts and scalability. Additionally, Charles discussed the development process of Cardano over the past 10 years, from initially having only transfer functionality to now being able to write complex applications.
Furthermore, IOHK will host a summit in Miami next week, where Charles stated that many of their business partners would participate. Projects related to science, engineering, and art will also be showcased. |
