Hi everyone, today I'd like to discuss a topic. We all know controversies involving referees are common in sports, regardless of the field. However, the recent FA statement officially accusing Arsenal coach Arteta of criticizing referees in public has sparked my opposition. I disagree with the FA's stance because the real unprofessionalism lies with the Premier League referees. Despite numerous controversial decisions and criticism, they continue without genuine reflection.

The Premier League referees have faced heightened scrutiny this season, with clubs even releasing statements expressing dissatisfaction, which is uncommon. Normally, clubs, as organizations, tend to maintain a level of respect for referees, avoiding direct criticism. However, whether it's the outrageous decision against Liverpool or the recent one against Arsenal, the referees merely apologize, with no visible signs of improvement or reflection.

Over the years, the Premier League has evolved into the world's most successful football business league, attracting top players and coaches. Consequently, one would expect the league to have the best refereeing team globally. However, the referees not only consistently make mistakes but also show no signs of improvement. When the issues become significant, and the referee team struggles to manage them, the FA steps in to accuse coaches who criticize referees, claiming they damage the officials' reputation. But who damaged their reputation in the first place? It's the referees themselves. If their professional abilities were not in question, there would be no need for the FA to intervene.

As a Premier League fan, I am dissatisfied with referees who, despite clear issues in their professional capabilities, rely on the FA to defend them. Referees have the authority on the field, and questioning their decisions might damage their reputation if they admit to errors. However, given the numerous controversial decisions, their reputation is already tarnished, and it's time for self-reflection. As a Premier League fan, I dislike these unprofessional referees. The Premier League teams, players, and coaches deserve a better refereeing team and better decision-making tools, such as the semi-automatic offside technology used in the World Cup, eliminating the possibility of human error.

However, every time such technology is introduced, it faces resistance from those who prefer the original flavor of football. I genuinely wonder if these people would still oppose it when their supported teams fall victim to human errors. The FA's actions are a disservice to the professional Premier League teams, coaches, and players. I am pessimistic that the situation of poor refereeing will improve. If this continues, the promising future of the Premier League may be jeopardized.
