I always struggle when it comes to my friends' birthdays because I don't know what to gift. What do you usually give to friends on their birthdays?

Do you think it's appropriate for me to give chips as a birthday gift? My friend is a gambling enthusiast, so I think chips would suit his taste!

I'm just not sure if this gift idea is appropriate. If you were my friend, would you be happy if I gave you chips?
