I really like a saying: "With money and wine, you have many brothers; in times of trouble, hardly a friend can be found. Winners are kings, losers are losers; it's all about appearances, not the person."
During my prosperous days, I indeed had many friends and relatives suddenly appearing, even those I had never met before. I've won a big prize before, and good news travels far, bringing many new friends and relatives to my home.
I had beggars at my doorstep, but my relatives and friends didn't come by. In this world, making friends often requires gold, and if you don't have much gold, the friendships won't be deep.
However, as the money came quickly, it also went quickly. Soon, I found myself back to working for a living. I couldn't afford to treat others to meals anymore, and I got used to a life of extravagance.
Is winning a lottery really a good thing? If you don't manage your money well, no matter how much you receive from heaven, it will never be enough.
Three times poor, three times rich, and it doesn't last forever. In ten years, many people rise and fall. If I ever win again, I hope to plan my finances wisely. Who doesn't talk behind someone's back, right? I used to think about the past often, but if I don't learn to let go, life will only get harder. Memories come to mind every time I pass by the upscale restaurant I used to frequent, reminding me of the old days.
