On July 23rd, while promoting his one-on-one league, McGrady gave an interview today where he talked about his greatest one-on-one opponent in his career.
""Without a doubt, it's my brother Kobe. When I was still with the Magic, I got injured once. He knew about it, but he did his best to exploit it for an advantage. Because he was always a student of the game, he's like a lion, he would use any weakness of his opponents. But it didn't work, because I scored 38 points in that game, haha.""
McGrady said, ""At the time, I had back injury issues, I played my whole career with herniated discs, and I had surgery only after retiring.""" |
