Where does happiness come from? Watching the uncle's solitary figure is a bit heart-wrenching.
In my neighborhood, there's an uncle who goes for a run past my house every weekend morning. I've heard that he used to be a gambler, but after his happy family fell apart, he changed. He became incredibly disciplined, leading a very healthy lifestyle, and sometimes he stops by my house for a chat.
In this modern society, many people believe that success is synonymous with wealth or high status and power. However, money is just an external factor. True success lies in having a happy family. So many people get lost in the pursuit of money, especially in the world of gambling.
Life is short, just a few decades long, and it's not meant to be lived for the sake of fame and fortune. If you focus on money and worldly success, you might lose out on more precious things. It can leave you physically and mentally exhausted, living a monotonous life. Just like that uncle who used to win or lose millions in a day, the line between heaven and hell is truly thin, as evident during the cryptocurrency's sharp decline.
Money is just paper; it's here today and gone tomorrow. If you prioritize money above all else and neglect your family's feelings, you'll lose their care and end up feeling lonely. Even if you have all the wealth, you might find yourself lacking the warmth of family. Only when a family stays together, lives in harmony, and experiences happiness is that real success, the greatest happiness.
Seeing that uncle running by alone makes me reflect on the road of gambling; you need to tread carefully. |
