On October 30th, Colombian media reported that the parents of Colombian forward Luis Diaz, who currently plays for Liverpool, had been kidnapped. Following searches by the police and military, his mother was safely located, but his father's whereabouts remain unknown.

Colombian prosecutors have indicated that there are signs suggesting that Diaz's father may have been taken to Venezuela. Colombia's Interior Minister has also concurred with this speculation, as the Colombian and Venezuelan borders in the Guajira region are adjacent and porous, making it possible for the kidnappers to take him into Venezuela.

The head of the investigative agency stated that if it is confirmed that Diaz's father has been kidnapped in Venezuela, he would need to seek assistance from the Colombian President and communicate with Venezuelan authorities. However, Colombia has not yet determined which criminal organization may have kidnapped Diaz's parents, as no group has claimed responsibility for the incident, indicating that this case could be a common crime.

Currently, the Colombian police have offered a reward, hoping that someone will provide information about Diaz's father's whereabouts or the kidnappers, with a reward of 200 million pesos.

I didn't expect that it's already come to the point where the President needs to step in to resolve this.
