"On October 23rd, the Grizzlies officially announced that Steven Adams will undergo surgery on his right posterior cruciate ligament and will miss the entire season.
Adams suffered a right knee posterior cruciate ligament sprain in January this year, initially expected to take 3-5 weeks to recover. However, Adams' recovery has been slower than anticipated, leading to him missing the entire latter half of the season and not being able to play in the playoffs.
After an offseason of rehabilitation, Adams' knee condition still did not improve and remained unstable. He eventually underwent surgery on the right posterior cruciate ligament and will be absent for the entire new season, with an expected full recovery before the following season.
In the previous season, Adams contributed an average of 8.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game." |
