October 24th News - South Korean media INVEN has published an article titled "Peanut with 100% Confidence: We Can Keep Showing a Good Performance."

GEN's jungler, Peanut, who advanced to the quarter-finals early and is waiting for their next opponent, expressed his determination for the remaining matches.

On the 21st, during the third round of the 2023 League of Legends Swiss round held at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, GEN defeated G2 with a 2-0 score. In the first round, they defeated GAM, and in the second round, they defeated T1, securing three victories to advance to the quarter-finals.

Peanut, who was interviewed by INVEN after the match, said, "I'm very happy to advance smoothly without losing a single game. G2 has a lot of variations in their ban-pick phase, and they base their playstyle on bot lane dominance, so we paid close attention to this during the game."

On that day, G2 gave champions like Xayah and Rakan, which are considered top-tier, to GEN and prepared surprise picks like Lissandra support and Lucian top. When asked about his thoughts on this, Peanut said, "We anticipated that they would use those champions, so we didn't feel panicked. I think we can handle them well."

GEN demonstrated the strength of the LCK's first seed, advancing to the quarter-finals without losing a single game. Regarding the new Swiss format, Peanut mentioned, "It's more interesting than the previous format because all the teams are playing under the same rules, so I don't think there are any particular difficulties."

In addition to JDG, who is considered a championship favorite, the teams that Peanut is keeping an eye on include LCK's second seed, T1, LNG, led by Tarzan and Scout, and the European powerhouse G2. All three teams have entered the fourth round with a 2-1 record and are preparing for their upcoming matches.

Lastly, Peanut stated, "We have a lot of time to prepare for the quarter-finals. For the upcoming matches, we will manage our condition and conduct analysis simultaneously. Because I am currently filled with confidence, I should be able to continue showing a good performance. I am determined to make it to the finals.
