Blackjack is usually the casino game with the lowest house advantage, typically around 2% or less (compared to slots with 5%-8%). Just for this reason alone, you must know how to play. Because they can't make a lot of money from this game, especially when the minimum bet is low. So they use various methods to reduce the payout rate, such as using more decks of cards (four decks versus two decks reduces it by about 0.18%), hitting on dealer's Soft 17 (A6) instead of standing (reduces it by about 0.22%), and so on.
