MGM China Holdings Limited has announced plans to renovate the second floor of the MGM Macau hotel, including the abandoned VIP rooms and closed art spaces, to create a dedicated area for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). This aligns with MGM China Holdings' strategy of incorporating ""art and cultural elements"" into its properties, as mentioned by MGM China Holdings' Chairperson Pansy Ho in late August.
The renovation project has begun on the second floor of the MGM Macau hotel and aims to reconfigure a large area of approximately 60,000 square feet (5,574 square meters). This area includes previously closed art spaces and some ""abandoned VIP rooms"" previously used by different casino contractors.
The renovation of the MGM Macau hotel's second floor space will not affect the hotel's VIP gaming areas, nor will it disrupt the operations of other casino contractors on the same floor. This strategic move ensures that existing gaming activities remain undisturbed.
In the third quarter of 2024, MGM China Holdings plans to introduce the revamped MGM Macau hotel space, providing visitors with a fresh experience. The focus of this renovated area will be on meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, in line with the company's commitment to integrating diverse cultural and artistic elements into its services. This initiative represents a strategic transformation aimed at repurposing underutilized spaces to meet the evolving preferences and needs of guests." |
