Do you know who the legend of Manchester United is? I think most of you know, it's "The King" Eric Cantona. He was interviewed recently and also talked about Cristiano Ronaldo. Interested in his evaluation of Ronaldo? Let's take a look!
Cantona mentioned that Ronaldo hasn't realized that he's getting old. Ronaldo is no longer the dominant 25-year-old young man he used to be! He believes that Ronaldo should acknowledge his age and not get angry over not being able to play a full 90 minutes. He also mentioned that a footballer's career can be divided into two types: those who retire early and those who retire at 40. However, for the latter, there are two types of players. Some think they are forever 25, while others help younger players, essentially making way for the next generation.
When asked why he retired at 30, he was open about his perspective. He thinks that when you reach a certain age, you should acknowledge it, so after 30, you should either retire or continue to help younger players. Do you think Ronaldo is really unwilling to accept aging? Messi is 38 now, and it seems like he might retire at 40. As for Ronaldo, it's hard to say. These are their personal choices, and if they can continue playing and doing what they love, I think it's a good thing, as long as their bodies allow it. |
