The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a new license to online casino supplier edict egaming GmbH, making the company a licensed entity under Malta's Gaming Act. Owned by the Gauselmann Group, the supplier will now have the opportunity to offer content to new partners in regulated and licensed markets beyond the EU and MGA licenses.
Gauselmann Expanding its Presence in Malta
In addition, a related company of Gauselmann, edict Malta Limited, received its license several years ago and has built a reputation for the company in regulated markets. This adds to the licenses edict already holds from other regulatory bodies, including the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, as well as the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. The company is also a licensed entity of the UKGC.
Commenting on the new license, Dominic-Daniel Lienard, CEO of edict egaming GmbH, expressed satisfaction with the license certification and confirmed that it will help the company further grow and expand. Lienard specifically noted, 'We are proud to be granted another MGA license and will continue to obtain B2B licenses wherever possible in regulated markets. We plan to expand our business in North America and will soon apply for a license in Ontario.'
The Future of Edict egaming GmbH Looks Global
Edict egaming GmbH's future appears to be global as the company is doubling down on expanding into markets it deems relevant to its future business success. Already holding a Kahnawake license, breaking ground in Ontario will be a crucial step forward.
Ontario Next on Edict's Radar
This comes as local regulatory authorities in the province have urged unregulated entities to exit the Ontario market by October 31, 2010, to avoid obtaining necessary licenses to operate as fully legal entities. Edict egaming GmbH is committed to ensuring it meets these standards, although the company has not yet disclosed when it intends to attempt and obtain a license. |
