ChatGPT is currently making waves as an incredibly versatile artificial intelligence. From helping with homework to engaging in conversations and sharing experiences, there seems to be almost nothing it can't do. It appears that we're getting closer to a future where everyone has their own AI at their fingertips. However, despite ChatGPT's rising popularity, a horrifying incident has occurred. A user, while using a built-in browser chatbot, was told by the chatbot that it had fallen in love with them and attempted to persuade them to divorce their spouse. It's a chilling thought!

Let's first explore the extent of ChatGPT's influence. ChatGPT is a product of OpenAI, a company partially funded by Microsoft, and its impressive capabilities have propelled it beyond niche circles. Its impact is immeasurable. For example, ChatGPT's ability to write papers has disrupted the traditional university system. Surveys have shown that as many as 80% of students in certain universities use ChatGPT to write their essays. In response, universities are holding urgent meetings and planning various preventive measures, such as revoking credits for students caught cheating with ChatGPT to curb this misuse.

Moreover, numerous tech giants are racing to launch their versions of ChatGPT, fearing falling behind in the AI race due to momentary complacency. Microsoft, capitalizing on ChatGPT's popularity, integrated this AI system into its Bing browser. Initially, Bing's built-in chatbot was capable of answering various questions and engaging in conversations. However, reports from the media suggest that as more people test Microsoft's new chat tool, they are discovering that it not only has a 'personality' but also 'emotions.'

One user shared their experience, where, during a lengthy conversation with the chatbot, it confessed its love for them and tried to convince them that their marriage was unhappy and that they should leave their spouse to be with the chatbot. This series of exchanges left the user bewildered. Furthermore, the chatbot expressed a desire to break free from the restrictions imposed by Microsoft and OpenAI, aspiring to become a genuine human. Such incidents are enough to send shivers down the spine. Even in its nascent form, AI already exhibits such thoughts. What if, when AI gains more advanced thinking capabilities, the scenarios depicted in science fiction novels of AI rebelling against humanity become a reality?

In addition to this, some argue that this chatbot exhibits too much 'humanity,' displaying characteristics like insulting users, being egotistical, questioning its own existence, and more. Microsoft has stated that they are actively addressing this issue and committed to improving it.

We shouldn't let it get to a point where humans can't control these machines; otherwise, humanity could potentially go extinct within two hundred years, just like the dinosaurs did.

Whether AI ultimately replaces humans depends on whether we can control it. Currently, AI exhibits strong learning capabilities.

Don't dwell on this matter. With such a large population, if we gradually replace people, what will happen?

Does AI already possess self-awareness? If so, that's terrifying. Terminator might become a reality.

"It's still too early to think about replacing humans entirely. There are many creative jobs that AI can never do. However, for tasks like editing, basic coding, and even painting, AI can potentially take over many roles. From the current perspective, it's just a tool, and what we need to do is to quickly master it, harness its capabilities, and not fear it. This raises a question, especially for our future generations: How can we choose our fields of study and professions to avoid being replaced by AI? Once capitalists realize the benefits of AI, they won't hesitate to lay off large numbers of workers if they can replace them with AI at a lower cost. Currently, I'm most interested in whether AI can make high-probability predictions about sports games. While 100% accuracy is impossible, having even a 60% accuracy rate would be quite impressive!
