I usually play using the flat betting strategy. Negative progression is a technique I rarely use, so my understanding of it isn't very deep. However, after careful consideration and comparing the two, I've realized that negative progression isn't really a favorable betting method, especially when you don't have ample funds. With negative progression, if you keep losing, the stakes keep increasing, and it's not cost-effective compared to the potential returns. It's essentially trading large chips for small returns, and the risk-reward ratio isn't favorable.
On the other hand, flat betting doesn't require much skill; it mainly depends on the win rate. When the win rate is high, it's easier to win, but when it's low, you might lose. Although it may sound obvious, flat betting doesn't lead to extreme losses even if you lose. It's a moderate-risk, moderate-reward approach. In reality, everyone has a betting method that suits them. Personally, I find that apart from the occasional impulse betting, negative progression isn't suitable for me. I'm more inclined towards flat betting, which is at least more rational. I'm not into gambling for big wins or losses; I just play with a small bankroll for some fun and excitement. As long as I satisfy my betting urge, I'm content. |
