"He is Messi's national team teammate but a devoted little fan of Cristiano Ronaldo! He even wears underwear from a brand endorsed by Ronaldo!
He is Manchester United's 18-year-old rising star, Alejandro Garnacho. Although he's from Argentina, Galancho was born in Madrid, Spain, and has lived there with his parents since. Thanks to his remarkable football talent, Galancho joined Atletico Madrid's youth academy when he was just 11 years old. However, his idol has always been Cristiano Ronaldo, even though Ronaldo's team often faced Atletico.
Alejandro Garnacho, with his outstanding performances, caught the attention of several top clubs, but it was Manchester United's scouts who secured his signature with a simple phrase: ""Cristiano Ronaldo will join Manchester United."" Galancho's greatest dream was to become teammates with Ronaldo.
When Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford in 2020, 17-year-old Galancho immediately flew to Manchester. Upon arrival, he went straight to Manchester United's headquarters to discuss his move. They signed a five-year contract, turning Galancho's childhood dream into reality.
In a match against Norwich City, where Ronaldo scored a hat-trick, he didn't keep the match ball as a personal memento. Instead, he gave it to Galancho, who was sitting on the sidelines.
Overwhelmed with excitement after receiving a gift from his idol, Galancho posted a photo with Ronaldo and declared that Ronaldo is the greatest player in history. As an Argentine player, openly praising Cristiano Ronaldo led to criticism from Sergio Aguero, who commented, ""Messi is the true world's best.""
However,Alejandro Garnacho didn't pay much attention to the criticism and promptly deleted Aguero's comment. No matter how high your status, you can't question my idol! So, whenever Ronaldo faces criticism from the outside world, Galancho is always the first to come to his idol's defense.
In the previous season's UEFA Europa League match against Sheriff Tiraspol, Alejandro Garnachomade his first-ever start for Manchester United's first team. He finally realized his dream of sharing the pitch with his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. In a subsequent match against Real Sociedad, Galancho received a pass from Ronaldo and scored his first goal for the first team.
Although Cristiano Ronaldo has since left Manchester United, Alejandro Garnacho has never stopped following in his idol's footsteps. Just a few days ago, he posted a photo of himself kneeling before Ronaldo, wearing Ronaldo's iconic No. 7 jersey. This might be a true example of the Red Devils' legacy." |
