"Have you ever regretted your choices?
I have, indeed.Once, there was a great job opportunity right in front of me.But because of someone, I gave it up.I thought you were worth it at one point, but gradually, I realized I might have been wrong.
But what can regrets do now? Everything is set in stone.

Just like our gambling, do you regret spending that money on gambling?
Clearly, without gambling, things could have been better.
Yet, we chose to bet anyway.
""Clearly"" is just our assumption, something that comes after regret.
Friends say, if it weren't for always double downing, he might have a big house by now.
I say, maybe he would, but would he? Without double downing, would nothing else have happened?
We humans tend to habitually assume everything, maybe getting rich, maybe living in a big house, maybe having a luxury car.
