The government of Dalat, a tourist city in Lam Dong Province, the Central Highlands of Vietnam, has announced plans to develop the nighttime economy by establishing a new night market and opening a casino. According to a plan recently submitted to the provincial authorities in Lam Dong, the city has identified 16 potential facility locations that will form the basis for the nighttime economy from 2023 to 2030.
The city government stated that the new facilities will include a modern nighttime shopping area to replace the current night market in the city center. Additionally, there will be a casino located at the famous destination known as Thung Lung Tinh Yeu (Valley of Love). The new night market will be situated at Anh Sang (Light) Garden on Nguyen Van Cu Street in the city center, approximately 100 meters from the existing night market on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street.
The market will feature souvenirs, typical Dalat products, street food, and cultural entertainment facilities, including painting, art, magic performances, and dance. Simultaneously, the proposed casino (the first of its kind in Dalat) is expected to open in the Valley of Love as part of a recreational and entertainment complex that covers the Mong Mo and Thong Nhat valleys and hills.
In addition to the casino (whose operational details are yet to be disclosed), the complex will also include nightclubs, shops, and other entertainment venues. They stated that if approved by the provincial authorities, the comprehensive project will be developed by Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Tourism Joint Stock Company, based in Dalat." |
