With the Cricket World Cup 2023 starting in the first week of October, the Indian side is ready to take on the best around the world. However, post the World Cup, the team might look forward to reforms and changes that would mark a new beginning. What might be the most notable change?

Captaincy in my opinion!

Captaincy is likely to change hands with speculation of Rohit Sharma calling it a day from the ODI squad. Considering the likes of Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul waiting in the ranks to lead the squad, it is likely Rohit Sharma might drop the captaincy ball in the first place and possibly retire from ODI altogether.

New bowlers making the cut.

Although Md. Shami, Bumrah, and Siraj trio are set to be the mainstay in important matches, and the international team might see eventual changes. Guys like Arshdeep Singh, Prasiddha Krishna, and Umran Malik are likely to feature more often in the Indian side in T20Is and eventually make it through the international side.

I don't speculate many changes coming with immediate effect apart from the captaincy. Rohit Sharma in all likelihood is to drop the baton to the future generations.
