It has been difficult to balance loyalty and self-interest.

In the past two decades, one of the most famous turncoats at Manchester United was undoubtedly Angel Di Maria. His actions were somewhat similar to Lukaku's behavior—refusing to return, pressuring the club to sell him to Paris Saint-Germain at a reduced price. I believe there isn't a Manchester United fan who doesn't dislike Di Maria for his actions during that time. However, Manchester United themselves poached their captain and star striker at the time, Robin van Persie, from Arsenal, making an already weak Arsenal squad even weaker.

Speaking of Arsenal, we can't forget their four most famous turncoats of this century: Van Persie, Song, Fabregas, and Nasri. Whenever my Arsenal fan friends mention these four turncoats, they grind their teeth in frustration because they not only let down Arsène Wenger's expectations but also left Arsenal in less-than-dignified ways. Arsenal fans might be on the rise now, but they've been in decline for the past two decades. I'm sure most Arsenal fans have wondered if those four turncoats hadn't left Arsenal, perhaps the club would have won championships by now.

But, similarly, despite Arsenal appearing as the victim, back in the day, they also poached their arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur's captain, Sol Campbell. Spurs fans have never forgiven Arsenal for this, as seeing their own captain being taken by their arch-rivals was something they couldn't accept. As a result, Campbell still receives plenty of not-so-friendly greetings from fans, including numerous threatening letters every year. So, Arsenal themselves have also done such things, and as such, they don't really have the right to say they hate turncoats. After all, it's common to witness such turncoat behavior in football.

In this world where fame and fortune are pursued in every aspect, breeding turncoats is quite common, isn't it? Therefore, when it comes to football turncoats, it's best to take a more relaxed view and not get too worked up about it."

In the context of sports, using terms like "loyalty" and "turncoat" might not be entirely appropriate.

In today's society, often, self-interest takes precedence.

The key point is that turncoats can indeed have an impact on the team's morale.
