In Baccarat, in addition to betting on Banker or Player, there are other options like Tie and Pair. A "Pair" bet is placed on the possibility that the first two cards dealt to either Banker or Player will form a pair. You can specify whether it's a Banker Pair or a Player Pair.

Compared to the even-money payouts for Banker or Player bets, Tie and Pair bets have much higher odds. A single bet on a Tie, for example, can pay out at eight times the original wager if it wins. Betting on a Pair can offer even higher odds, up to 1:11, while a Perfect Pair can pay out at 1:25.

Introducing options like Pair and Tie in Baccarat is aimed at increasing the game's excitement and attracting more players. However, for players, can Pair and Tie bets really bring more profits?

We know that the probability of a Tie occurring is roughly around one in ten games, but it has a significant advantage of up to 14%, which is ten times more than Banker or Player bets. The probability of a Pair occurring is even rarer. Some players like to place bets on both "Pair" and either "Banker" or "Player," while others use the "Three Gems" strategy, which involves betting on "Banker," "Pair," and "Tie" to reduce risk. However, if we look at it from a probability standpoint and place the money we bet on "Pair" and "Tie" on "Banker" or "Player" instead, our chances of winning will significantly increase.

If you're a recreational player looking for excitement and fun in Baccarat, then trying your luck with Pair and Tie bets is perfectly fine. It can be a pleasant surprise if you win. However, if you want to make a consistent income through Baccarat, the best approach is to only bet on Banker and Player, avoiding Tie and Pair bets to ensure a higher winning rate.

Here are some key points to keep in mind:

1. When you have a limited bankroll, it's advisable to stick to Banker and Player bets. Betting on Tie or Pair can quickly deplete your funds.

2. Table selection is crucial. Look for tables where Tie and Pair bets have the highest probability of occurring. This is often related to the table's trend and the presence of previous Ties and Pairs.

3. Ties and Pairs often appear in clusters. If a Tie occurs, you might want to consider following up with three consecutive Pair bets.

4. Pay attention to the shoe's shoe history. Very often, a beautiful Banker or Player streak will be accompanied by Pair occurrences. For example, if you see a streak of all red outcomes, there's a high chance of Pair appearing.

5. Trust your instincts. If you feel like luck is on your side, you might consider following it for a couple of rounds, but don't get carried away with every hand.
