"Baccarat Betting Progressions Come in Two Types

The first type is the 'Win-Progression, Lose-Regression' progression: After every win, you increase your bet by a fixed percentage to gamble on the next hand. After every loss, you either return to the starting point or regress to a previous level. For example, if the increase rate is set at 30%, you bet 100 dollars on the first hand, win, then bet 130 dollars on the second hand, win again, bet 170 dollars on the third hand, and win once more, bet 220 dollars on the fourth hand. If you lose on this hand, you go back to either the starting 100 dollars or the previous 130 dollars... This type of progression can yield high profits during a winning streak, but it's risky if you alternate wins and losses.

The second type is the 'Win-Regression, Lose-Progression' progression: After every loss, you increase your bet by a fixed percentage to gamble on the next hand. After every win, you regress to the previous level. For example, if the increase rate is set at 30%, you bet 100 dollars on the first hand, lose, then bet 130 dollars on the second hand, lose again, bet 170 dollars on the third hand, and lose once more, bet 220 dollars on the fourth hand. If you win on this hand, you bet 220 dollars again, then if you win, you bet 170 dollars... Personally, I prefer this type of progression because as long as you win more than you lose in the later stages, even if you lose more often overall, there's a good chance to make a profit or break even. The 'Smiling Method' often helps to find opportunities for consecutive wins, and when used in conjunction with this type of 'Win-Regression, Lose-Progression' progression, it can increase profits.

Mixed Variations:
The above are basic patterns of betting progressions. From these patterns, countless variations can be derived, such as 'Double Dragon Out to Sea,' 'Three-Color Progression,' 'Four-Color Progression,' 'N-Style Progression,' 'Remove Numbers,' 'Win-Progression, Lose-Progression,' 'Two-Star Method,' 'Three-Star Method,' 'N-Star Method,' and more.

Regardless of the variations, the fundamental characteristics of betting progressions remain unchanged. Some progressions, after mixing, can only leave players feeling confused and prone to errors. Others, however, align better with human psychological traits and can be matched with suitable betting strategies. For example, the 'Yangtze Code' mentioned earlier by Brother Bie is a good progression.

In summary, the three fundamental characteristics of betting progressions are as follows:
a. No matter the progression, whether single or mixed, it cannot change the expected return of any gambling game.
b. Without a good betting strategy, using any progression (including mixed progressions) will lead to inevitable losses.
c. Without a good betting strategy, using progressions usually results in quicker and larger losses."
