Four years ago, Bukayo Saka was called upon to take penalties for England in the Euro finals, and now he has grown! Standing at the penalty spot again this time, the 23-year-old is no longer the greenhorn of four years ago. He calmly placed the ball into the net, breaking free from his penalty demons. First, he equalized for the team and later scored a crucial penalty in the shootout, rightfully earning the Man of the Match award. His name is Bukayo Saka!

Four years ago, Saka, then just 19 years old, made his debut for England in the Euro Cup. Despite being relatively new to the scene, he was tasked by the manager to take the crucial fifth penalty in the shootout of the final match, a daunting task for such a young player. Ultimately, Saka couldn't handle the pressure and missed the penalty.

After the match, Saka faced intense criticism online, and his own mindset suffered. Upon returning to his club, he went through a spell of 15 matches without scoring or assisting. However, through sheer determination, Saka successfully overcame his low point. These four years have seen Saka grow immensely, becoming an indispensable core player for both England and Arsenal. The other day, when facing Switzerland and trailing behind, he scored a spectacular goal to equalize, taking the game to a penalty shootout. He then confidently converted the third penalty in the shootout, exorcising his penalty demons from four years ago.

Saka rightfully earned the Man of the Match award for his outstanding performance in this match. After the game, several teammates and England legends praised Saka's display. Saka himself expressed happiness and emphasized that he always looks forward, leaving the past penalty miss behind. What matters most to him now is his courage to step up and continue doing so in the future. England will face the Netherlands in the semifinals next, where Saka's performance will be crucial to their success. Best wishes to Saka for continued excellent performances!

England might actually be on track to win the championship. Their journey has been incredibly challenging and full of ups and downs, fitting the style of champions. However, there are still two major hurdles left. Hopefully, England can overcome them.

For young players, the psychological pressure of a penalty shootout is immense. For professional players, scoring from the twelve-yard mark is typically straightforward, but doing so in front of thousands of spectators and at the brink of elimination is a mental battle. For Saka, missing a penalty in the final, causing his team to miss out on the championship, was undoubtedly a nightmare. This nightmare affected him deeply for a period. Fortunately, Saka has managed to overcome it and has made significant progress over the past few years, becoming a key player for Arsenal. He has led Arsenal in their quest for the Premier League title for two consecutive years, and although they haven't succeeded, it demonstrates Saka's growth and improvement.

In this European Championship, due to Southgate's tactics, England's forwards have struggled, and the overall performance has been lackluster, relying on moments of brilliance. In the quarterfinals, Saka saved England, without his goal, they might have been eliminated by Switzerland 1-0. In the penalty shootout, Saka also scored, showing that he has completely overcome his psychological issues. From now on, Saka will be a hero for England, no longer a burden. Hopefully, he will continue to perform well in the upcoming matches and lead England further. And most importantly, he will lead Arsenal to finally win that elusive Premier League title!!
