The Manchester United player, Sancho, currently on loan to Borussia Dortmund, has had a great 2024. However, as the season nears its end, it means that Sancho, despite his success, must return to the conflict-ridden Manchester United due to contractual obligations. According to the United assistant coach, the rift between Sancho and the United manager, Ten Hag, may be irreparable. The reason being that Sancho insists he is not at fault.

After a match against Arsenal on September 3rd last year, in which United lost, Sancho and Ten Hag had a heated confrontation. When asked why Sancho wasn't fielded, Ten Hag cited Sancho's poor training attitude as the reason for not giving him playing time. Sancho, in response, publicly expressed on his social media that his training performance was good and felt scapegoated. This incident led to an irreconcilable conflict between the two, ultimately resulting in Sancho's move to Borussia Dortmund.

Following the conflict, Ten Hag insisted that Sancho apologize before rejoining the team, but Sancho refused. As a United assistant coach, McCarthy felt responsible for mediating the conflict between the two. However, as he got to know them better, he realized that their conflict was irreconcilable, especially from Sancho's perspective. Sancho, coming from the streets, refused to apologize because he believed that doing so would admit to Ten Hag's accusations of laziness, tardiness, and lack of effort, which Sancho vehemently denied.

Currently, Sancho is experiencing a career resurgence at Borussia Dortmund, especially as he is set to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final this weekend. Regardless of the outcome, Dortmund wants to retain Sancho, but they understand that the decision is not theirs to make. Thus, Sancho is likely to return to Manchester United after the Champions League final. Considering Ten Hag's uncertain managerial position, Sancho's future remains equally uncertain.

The assistant coach means well, but being unable to act is another matter. After all, resolving conflicts between people is difficult. In the world of football, it's all about the struggles between individuals, which can be incredibly tough and complicated!

Sancho and Ten Hag can probably never reconcile as before. It's better for both to go their separate ways and not force it.

It seems they've both been unhappy with each other for a long time. Some people are just naturally incompatible, and no matter how much a third party tries to mediate, it has very little effect.

Actually, Ten Hag is just a scapegoat for Manchester United. The problems at Manchester United cannot be solved by a single coach. From the fitness coach to the nutritionist, and up to the higher management, everyone is a leech on the club....

Why was Sancho unhappy at Manchester United? Some say it's due to his personality, but that's not the whole story. A young newcomer must be given enough support and trust. Everyone knows Ten Hag's coaching style—it's simply shit. He also likes to report to the higher-ups about trivial matters. Sancho was still an immature kid at that time and didn't know how to handle these issues diplomatically. He only knew how to clash head-on with the coach, which eventually led to his departure from Manchester United.

I think maybe the assistant coach could be promoted to see if they can mediate the situation with Sancho.

Sancho joined Manchester United in 2021, earlier than Ten Hag's arrival. In his first season, Sancho's performance was average, lacking standout moments. However, when Ten Hag took over, he managed to bring out the best in Sancho, especially in the early stages of their partnership. Unfortunately, Sancho suffered injuries when he was performing exceptionally well. Moreover, Ten Hag favored his protege, Anthony, over Sancho, despite Sancho's superior abilities. Sancho's bold personality might have clashed with Ten Hag's, leading to his exclusion from the team. It's unfortunate that despite his talent, Sancho faced such a fate. The conflict between them seems irreconcilable. Sancho's failure in the Champions League final with Dortmund and Ten Hag's triumph in the FA Cup likely solidified Ten Hag's position, leaving no room for Sancho at United. Dortmund may only afford to loan him, while United seeks to sell him. Sancho's future remains uncertain, but hopefully, he finds a club where he can unleash his talents and make the most of his remaining years.
