With the Klopp era coming to an end, Liverpool has confirmed that Dutch coach Arne Slot will lead the team next season. In a recent interview with Dutch media, Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag, who also hails from the Eredivisie, commented on Slot, making some explosive remarks. Ten Hag believes that Slot's performance in the Eredivisie has been overrated, suggesting that the intensity of next season's Premier League clashes between Liverpool and Manchester United will be even higher.

Ten Hag and Slot were already old rivals in the Eredivisie, with their teams, Ajax and Feyenoord, often clashing. Therefore, it's not surprising that ten Hag's assessment of Feyenoord is harsh. This season, Feyenoord, as the defending champions, only finished second, losing the title race to PSV Eindhoven, which ten Hag used as an opportunity to mock Feyenoord and Slot.

Ten Hag considers Feyenoord's performance to be very stable but merely average. He believes the local media has exaggerated Feyenoord's achievements too much, while PSV Eindhoven is the team that truly excelled. According to ten Hag, PSV outperforms Feyenoord in all aspects by a significant margin, whether it's ball control, pressing, or intensity.

Naturally, ten Hag's remarks sparked controversy, especially given the fierce rivalry between his current club, Manchester United, and Slot's soon-to-be club, Liverpool. This can be seen as a prelude to the heightened tension expected in next season's clashes. The media will undoubtedly seize on ten Hag's comments, further intensifying the rivalry between the two clubs.

The players are on the field, while the coaches battle from afar. It's quite lively!

After winning the FA Cup championship, Ten Hag is showing off again, haha. The level of Eredivisie has been quite poor in recent years. Previously, teams could directly qualify for the Champions League, but now they have to go through playoffs. I must say, Ten Hag's coaching at Ajax was quite impressive. They produced many young talents and performed well in the Champions League, achieving good results. Ajax fell apart after Ten Hag left, which demonstrates his capabilities. I don't know much about Slot, the coach of Feyenoord. Feyenoord has always been overshadowed by Ajax and PSV in Eredivisie. Winning the Eredivisie title with Feyenoord is quite successful, but they struggle in European competitions, which might be due to the team's strength.

In the new season, Slot has joined Liverpool, a completely different team in the Premier League. It will be a big challenge for him because the Premier League receives a lot of attention, especially with Liverpool being a top club. Under Klopp's leadership in recent years, Liverpool has achieved decent results. Slot doesn't necessarily have to win the title with Liverpool, but he should at least compete for it. The pressure on Slot will be immense, especially considering the presence of senior players in the dressing room. If he fails to manage the relationships in the dressing room, Liverpool could collapse. Aging players are also a major issue. Let's see how much money Liverpool's owners will provide for transfers in the summer.

Ten Hag has been in the Premier League for several years and is experienced. I don't think Slot can match him. However, everything will be decided on the field. I still believe Ten Hag will outperform Slot next season!

Hahaha, Ten Hag should still worry about his own affairs. He doesn't even know if he can stay at Manchester United...

Ten Hag's comments have sparked heated debate. Will Liverpool be able to fight back under Slot's leadership? Looking forward to the intense rivalry in the new season's North West Derby!
