Once upon a time, the position of Bayern Munich's head coach was always highly sought after, with numerous managers eager to prove themselves capable of leading the team to success. However, the past year has been undoubtedly a painful one for Bayern, even resulting in multiple failed attempts to secure a new coach. Ultimately, in a desperate situation, they surprisingly hired a coach who had led his team to relegation! What exactly happened?

Last season, Bayern's performance was poor, leading to the dismissal of former coach Tuchel after a trophyless campaign. Therefore, Bayern's top priority was to find a new coach. However, their search was fraught with difficulties. They were rejected by Alonso, Nagelsmann, Rangnick, and Schmidt, and attempts to lure Glasner were thwarted by Crystal Palace's hefty compensation demands. Despite rumors linking them with Emery, who chose to renew with Villa, and Lopetegui, who preferred coaching in the Premier League, they failed to reach an agreement with Tuchel and found themselves without options.

In this hopeless situation, Bayern's top management eventually chose Kompany, the current coach of Burnley in the Premier League. However, this decision was met with widespread skepticism because Kompany had just led his team to relegation after gaining promotion in the previous season. Fans questioned whether a coach who had failed to secure survival could handle a club like Bayern Munich.

It is reported that Bayern are very optimistic about Kompany's future potential as a coach, believing that his transition from player to coach indicates the qualities of a world-class manager. Therefore, they are willing to take a gamble on him. According to reports, Bayern are willing to pay a €10 million buyout clause to release Kompany from his contract with Burnley. Kompany himself is eager to coach Bayern, so we will see him in charge of Bayern next season. Whether Kompany can succeed at Bayern remains to be seen.

Nowadays football is becoming more commercialized. As for performance, besides the fans, players, coaches, and owners don't really care. They'll just find someone to blame. I think Kompany was quite good!

Without a doubt, Bayern's season has been quite a failure. It's been more than a decade since they experienced such emptiness. In the past, No matter who led Bayern Munich, the eventual Bundesliga champions would always be Bayern Munich. Unfortunately, after the arrival of Kane, the "Crownless King," it seems like whoever sits in Bayern's coaching seat is ineffective. Traditionally, the coaching position at Bayern was highly coveted. The remaining 17 teams in the Bundesliga were essentially Bayern's reserve teams. Bayern could get whatever they needed. But this time, there was no interest from anyone. Surely, there must be some internal issues at Bayern. Both the management and the players' dressing room must have issues. Coaches fear they won't be able to control the situation and end up ruining their coaching careers. Take Tuchel, for example. Before joining Bayern, he was a world-renowned coach. Now, he's become a laughingstock. It might be difficult for him to find another top-tier team to coach in the future. So, appointing a new head coach is Bayern's only choice, albeit a reluctant one. A new head coach is easier for the team management to control. As for the dressing room, Kompany may struggle to assert authority, but he's young, and perhaps he can bond with the players and unite the team. After all, experiencing such a massive failure is embarrassing for a powerhouse like Bayern. The players are probably holding their breath. As long as a balance is maintained, I don't think the dressing room will cause trouble for Kompany.

As for Kompany's performance in the Premier League this season, it's been disastrous. But why hasn't he been sacked? That's because his performance in leading Burnley to the brink of the title last season was outstanding. He led Burnley to victory with several rounds to spare. At the time, it was said that Kompany had the potential to be a top manager. So, Burnley chose to trust Kompany and didn't dismiss him even when they were second from bottom in the league and facing relegation. I believe both Burnley's management and Bayern's management are not blind. Giving Kompany time and a strong team backbone might just surprise us.

Of course, I still enjoy seeing the news about Kane without a crown. Haha!!

Ah, it all costs money. If you don't choose a coach carefully, it's not worth the trouble.

Why doesn't Bayern choose Mourinho? Mourinho's tough style aligns perfectly with Bayern Munich's tough style. Bayern Munich has a glorious tradition of never hiring mediocre coaches, even their worst coaches have league titles under their belts. Now, Bayern Munich urgently needs a tough coach. Under Guardiola, Bayern Munich became soft. I remember at that time, the most famous forward was Mario, but Guardiola sidelined him and insisted on transforming Bayern Munich into a soft team. Now, Bayern Munich has returned to its tough state, but they need a tough coach to rejuvenate the team. Mourinho's resume is brilliant. He led Porto to win the Champions League, then helped Chelsea win two league titles immediately after joining. Later, he went to Inter Milan and achieved the coveted treble. Then, he went to Real Madrid, defeated Barcelona, and won the long-awaited league title. After that, he went to Manchester United, where he won two trophies, then to Tottenham Hotspur, leaving his mark there too. Why hasn't anyone hired such a successful coach? Don't blame Mourinho's style for being unconventional. True geniuses always have something different from others. Now, it depends on whether Bayern fans can see this and persuade the club to sign Mourinho!
