Luka Doncic scored 34 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 113-97 victory over the Utah Jazz, tying with the Phoenix Suns for the 6th spot in the Western Conference, securing a direct spot in the playoffs.
The Mavericks secured their third consecutive win and their 7th win in the last 8 games, improving their record to 41 wins and 29 losses, maintaining a half-game lead over the Sacramento Kings and the Suns. However, the Suns later defeated the Atlanta Hawks 128-115, tying their record with the Mavericks, with both teams now tied for the 6th spot in the Western Conference.
Luka Doncic has recorded 18 triple-doubles this season, but in the fourth quarter today, he only played for 4 minutes without any rebounds or assists. He finished the game shooting 11 for 23 from the field, including 4 for 10 from beyond the arc.
Daniel Gafford scored 24 points, his highest single-game scoring since joining the team in early February. He shot 10 for 11 from the field today, boasting a shooting percentage of 70.8%, currently ranking first in the NBA.
